There is no password to protect against starting and running Firefox, or accessing its files on disk. You can use a Master Password to lock access to Saved Logins, but that's about it.
Are you running Firefox Portable off your hard drive or SSD? One possibility would be to create an encrypted folder using a tool like Veracrypt, and put your Firefox Portable folder in there. In order to access the program or any of its data, you start Veracrypt and mount the folder as a drive, for example, the F drive, which requires a password. IMPORTANT: Do not forget that password.
By the way, if the script you tried was this one --
-- the latest versions of Firefox no longer support one of the old tricks used to inject "userChrome.js" scripts through an XBL binding. You can search on /r/Firefox or /r/FirefoxCSS for updated techniques.
