What Thunderbird address book did you export? eg: 'Personal Address Book' or 'Collected Addresses' or was it an address book you created ?

When you exported that address book, what format did you use? LDIF or .csv etc ?

Where is the exported address book? eg: on a usb or W10 desktop ?

To import an address book, did you do this: Click on 'Address Book' 'Tools' > 'Import' select 'Address Books' and click on 'Next' select 'Text file (LDIF, .tab, .csv, .txt) and click on 'Next'

An explorer window should open and you would need to navigate to where you saved the file. select the file and click on 'Open'

Thank you for the info. I had found the Import option but didn't realise what it was asking. I expected "import Thunderbird files" or something like that. There were both 'Personal Address Book' and 'Collected Addresses' and one raised an error importing, but I think most addresses are present now.
