How can I create filter for email with no subject? (it's blank)

I get emails that come in without a subject line and I would like to add a filter which deletes these. I've tried using various ways in the Message Filter and nothing seems to work. Do I need to put in a special character in the Subject Contains field like *no subject*? Leaving it blank obviously does not work. Thanks in advance.

Chosen solution

Instead of 'contains', use 'is'. See screenshot for the exact configuration. Confirmed working on my side.

That was so incredibly simple that I'm now embarrassed that I even asked the question. Thank you very much!

No worries, I have fought my battles with message filters and now need to sort the sorters (the -----------something below/above) (because of the execution order)

2 pieces of advice what I give with computers, what sometimes gets echoed back to me:

  • read, seriously read what the computer says, error messages, anything
  • else press all buttons and try to not press the red buttons, what have long warning texts

(extra) automatic backups, regularly verify that the backups work (I do 2 backups per hour for my workstation), so if you do press the wrong button, you shrug
