I arrived at a page with this requirement. As I said above, I do not have a smart phone. What do I do now?

Adding more devices to a Sync account is optional and setting up Sync has finished once you see this page for the first time, so simply close this tab.

To Firefox volunteer/s who read/s this page:

I have used FF for years and am grateful for all the work volunteers have put into it. But you assume so much knowledge and take for granted that all users have smart phones. I started to change my password, as recommended, but I cannot verify anything by smart phone and now I'm afraid of closing out of FF for fear of not getting back in without a whole lot of hassle.

Would it be so hard to include "Smart phone needed" at the top of the instructions? I see on this page I am not the only person without one.

So now I'll have to sign out and see if I can get back in using my old password.
