How do I prevent Firefox from automatically expanding to full screen when window touches edge of screen?

more options

I often need to reposition windows so I can see enough of several to click between them. When I move a window so it touches the edge of the screen, it switches to full screen. How do I turn this function off so that it will not become full screen unless I explicitly choose that option from the fullscreen/restore button or a menu option inside Firefox.

Hi David, the Windows "snap" feature is a managed outside of Firefox. Could you try the steps in the following Microsoft support thread:

Does that work?

Thank you. That worked perfectly.

I must have made an error in my test that made me think it was just the browser, and not all of windows.

I think the problem with that behavior is no one can remember its name so you have to search around a lot just to figure out where to look for it!
