Was unable to sync with my Chrome bookmarks using the stated instructions
I'd rather use Firefox for privacy, but ...using the instructions on support site, after settings>bookmarks>import, etc, the list of possible selections only includes Explorer or Edge on my new computer. I do not want to recreate all that again. Is it because I did not have Chrome installed at the time I tried to import? I assumed signing in via Google would be enough, rather than having both browsers on the machine.
Chosen solution
If you are trying to import bookmarks from Google Chrome, you would need to have Google Chrome installed. Otherwise, Firefox cannot detect that you have data from Google Chrome to import.
You can uninstall Google Chrome as soon as you import your bookmarks.
