Why does Firefox keep changing the tabs I have it set to open to?

more options

Every few days when I open Firefox, it has changes the tabs I have it set to open to. Things like Gmail (I have two accounts for work plus my own, so three all together), it will not just be logged out, but it will rearrange where the tabs are. It will move several of the tabs to different locations. It does this on multiple devices that I have synced to my account. It is only Firefox that does this. I have things set up in Chrome and Edge and those don't change.

Hi Martyn, how do you arrange for the same tabs to open? For example:

Among these, I think the first two fix the order while the third retains the last order.

Note that I am referring to the order on the tab bar of each individual window. When Firefox re-opens multiple separate windows, the order the windows open is not consistent from one session to the next (it might be the same, but it might not).

I set it up under the options setting in the settings menu.

Hmm, okay, but which option?

Is it this one:

The order of tabs on the tab bar of each individual window should not change. The order of individual windows on the Windows Taskbar does change.

If it's not that one, what did you set?

Mine is set up under the Home tab and then startup and use current pages.

Sorry, I thought this was a different thread.

Okay, so every single window is going to have those same tabs. Perhaps the question is why launching Firefox now opens two windows instead of one.

When you open a selection of custom URLs as your home page, I would expect the order to remain identical in each new window you open.
