Latest interation of Firefox will not download pdf files from bank and creditcard websites

On my bank and the shell website I try to download a statement in pdf. Nothing happens, where the last version of Firefox worked flawlessly. I even allowed all pop ups, and that didn't solve the problem. It all started with the latest version of firefox.
