Most of "Thunderbird" 68.2.1 menu doesn't work! Especially quit.

Posted

On Mac OS 10.14.6, with Thunderbird 68.2.1, almost the entire list of items in the "Thunderbird" menu, do not work. "Quit Thunderbird" ignores my clicks. "About Thunderbird" does nothing. "Preferences"--nothing. "Services" does have a dropdown submenu, which works. The "Hide..."s don't work, nor "Show all". Anyone sharing these issues?

I am able to checkmark the "Disable all add-ons" box, but the lit-up "Make changes and restart" button does not work. I had to choose "Continue in safe mode", and when the app came back up, I still could not quit from the menu.

As a test, please create a new empty profile. Does it work in that new profile?
