Disable multiple addons & redesign these pages, please

Firefox 69.03

There's probably no answer for this, but here goes.

It's not uncommon for me to try to determine if a particular addon is creating a problem.

Pre-Quantum there used to be an addon that allowed you to easily and quickly disable multiple addons, but currently it looks like the only way to do this is safe mode. But as far as I can see, you cant enable individual addons when in safe mode.

I hope I'm wrong, and there is a way to do this, because I would thinlk Mozilla wants us to be proactive and self sufficient in solving Firefox related problems.

There is such an obvious need for this, one might expect it would be built into Firefox, Not being able to implement this seemingly simple task can turn what should 10 minutes of diagnosing problems into hours.

As long as I am venting, one more thing. Why are we only given this skinny little box to compose our threads in, which user discomfort is only magnified by a hyper sensitive scroll mechanism?

If the designers are trying for whatever unknown logical reason to conserve space here, how about starting with the "huge" piece of unnecessary real estate that black panel occupies on the bottom of the page.

I meant to say "Pre-Quantum there used to be an addon that allowed you to easily and quickly disable and enable multiple addons, individually or as a predetermined group, but there is no edit mechanism for my original post.

You should be able to Enable or Disable each installed extension in normal mode and in safe mode via its three dot button drop-down list that you find next to each extension on the about:addons page. In Safe Mode this only modifies the label in the drop-down menu of the extension, but once you install Firefox normally the extension is either disabled or enabled and is moved to the corresponding section. You only can no longer disable all extensions easily if you remember this from very old days.

You can find "Edit this question" under "Question tools" in the sidebar next to the question where you also have "Question details". You can click each section heading in the sidebar to expand or collapse their list of choices if you currently do not see "Edit this question".

1.pen official Firefox add-ons website (addons.mozilla.org) and go to the desired add-on/extension page which you want to install.

2. Right-click on "+ Add to Firefox" button and select "Save Link As" option. It'll download the .XPI file of the extension in your downloads folder.

3. Now type about:debugging in Firefox address bar and press Enter. It'll open Add-ons Debugging page.

4. Now click on "Load Temporary Add-on" button, browse to the downloads folder and select .XPI file of your desired extension which you saved in step 2.

That's it. It'll immediately install the add-on/extension without any error message.

NOTE to Re-Enable Existing Add-ons/Extensions: The .XPI file of your existing add-ons/extensions are stored in "Extensions" folder inside your Firefox profile folder. You can select the XPI file of all installed extensions one by one in step 4 to re-enable disabled extensions in Firefox.
