How can I restore lost .SBD Folders into my Pane again (with Attachments) on Mac Mojave/Thunderbird 60.9.0 (64-bit)
I have been an ardent EUDORA User since Ver.1.4 and was crushed when EUDORA discontinued ... eventually I warmed up to Thunderbird, but recently some of my (over 1,000) Topic & Archive Folders have disappeared in the Pane ... fortunately I could still find the .SBD Folders (i.e.Lawyers or Laos) in my User Profile (MacBook, Mojave V 10.14.6) ... can someone PLEASE help me A) to restore those 'lost' Folders into my Pane ... and B) advise how to 'Archive' older Folders with all their Attachments !! Your knowledgeable advise would be sincerely appreciated :-) Werner E: werner@kubesch.net

In the profile folder, there is a Mail subfolder for POP accounts and Local Folders, and an ImapMail subfolder for IMAP accounts. Each subfolder has subfolders for individual accounts. In those folders there are mbox files, with no extension, and .msf index files; same for .sbd folders. Copy the mbox files only to Mail/Local Folders. When you start TB, you should see folders under Local Folders with the same names as the mbox files.
To archive mail to a location outside of TB, select the messages, then File/Save As/File to save the messages as eml files. Attachments are embedded in the eml files. Further export options are available with ImportExportTools NG.
