Hi guys!

Problem: My sync keeps running for over 24 hours but only bookmarks are getting synced, not addons. I am not sure about the logins/passwords as I try and not use those in Firefox.

Attempted: I have reinstalled Firefox a couple of times in hopes to get sync working again. I have done complete uninstalls, including deletion of the folders using the %appdata% command and deleting the mozilla/firefox folders there.

I went to about:sync-log and don't see a log there. Please see attached picture.

First, only add-ons which are hosted at the official Addons website can be "synchronized". Addons which are installed by external programs typically aren't hosted by Addons.Mozilla.Org . The thing is that the Add-on isn't actually "synchronized" via Sync, each qualifying add-on gets installed from the AMO server - i.e., the latest version of each extension is what gets installed.

Regarding not seeing a sync-log; about:sync-log only shows 'sync-logs' when Sync has failed or triggered an error report.

This preference in about:config can be toggled to true to generate a sync-log every time that Firefox is opened services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess

The log will show both success-sync- logs and as they occur error-sync- logs interspersed in the list in order of the Epoch date & time code which is used by Sync services.

And the success-sync-log will show data about the "transaction" between the Firefox installation (where that pref was toggled to True) and the Sync server actions for that connection.

Make sure to reset services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess after you are done testing because otherwise you get a lot of log files on your computer.

You can first check for error log with this pref set to false.
