Calendar: Reminders set over 30 days ahead aren't displaying as expected

Created a new event for Oct 31, 2019 with custom reminder 60 days ahead. I expected reminder pop-up to appear immediately after selecting Save and Close because today is Sep 6, 2019, but it did not. I experimented with reminders 45, 35, and 30 days ahead. The only one that worked was 30 days, nothing further out. Each time I made sure the new event date was less than the # of days configured for the reminder.

Thunderbird 60.9.0 on Win 7 SP1.
