I have spoken to bt who cannot help. arrow works again if all cookies etc deleted from crome but this only works for a short time - hours possibly. Not having a `reply` indicator in inbox means wasting huge amounts of time checking to see whether emails have been replied to. I am happy to pay for a service that will ensure that this works.

I fail to understand what chrome cookies would have to do with Thunderbird. Unless it is the chrome account thing.

Please try a non chrome browser (I would suggest Firefox obviously) and see if the problem still occurs at all.

I would also suggest you try creating an account with GMX and see if that is affected by the chrome thing.

Finally try logging out of google in chrome and see if that has an impact.

With results of those three data points, perhaps we can come up with a real solution for you.
