I am using windows 10 which sets my default printer as Brother MFC-J470DW from a list of several printers. In Thunderbird, the printer options list includes this printer, but chooses Brother PC-FAX v3.2 as the default (note: this printer was eliminated from the list of available printers in windows 10). In the Thunderbird config editor, the only printer listed is Brother PC-FAX v3.2, and it is listed a number of times with various arguments. How can I eliminate Brother PC-FAX v3.2 from the list of printer options in Thunderbird Print, and make Brother MFC-j470DW the default printer?

Chosen solution

If you have defined a default printer in Windows settings, TB should use it by default after you open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and right-click the preference print_printer, Reset, OK to close Options, restart TB.
