Can we get back "Print Preview" as a real Firefox action, not an add-on

I don't know why "Print Preview", which I use frequently, was removed from the <File> menu. It is not nearly as convenient now, reduced to an add-on. Is there some reason this was needed? or thought desirable? Not using "Print Preview" frequently results in wasted paper or harder to read positioning of output, so I liked how convenient it was compared to being shoved off in a corner far from the things that I frequently use.

I still have that File > Print Preview menu item in Windows Firefox 68.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
