Why is Thunderbird taking 100GB + of my storage space?

The problem is self-explanatory, I believe.

I have 3 account set up, with approximately 3000 emails. The profiles themselves are not that large though. They all rack up to less than 10GB (which is a lot, but less than a tenth of my problem). You can see that in the first image.

Now the second image is a puzzler for me. You can clearly see two versions of Thunderbird. Summing more than 100GB.

While I believe I can delete one of these versions with no impact, I'd like to know which one (probably the oldest, but I not sure).

But beyond that lays the fact that both versions are taking space in wopping amounts. Is this even normal?

You'd need to be more specific about what files/folders exactly taking that much disk space.
