Chosen solution

I'm assuming you are talking about folders in a POP mail account or in 'Local Folders' mail account.

On PC and Laptop: In Thunderbird, install 'ImportExportTools' https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/

How to install addon extension: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-addon-thunderbird

On PC Right click on folder > ImportExportTools > Export folder Choose eg: usb to store file. It will be stored as an mbox file. mbox files do not have any extension.

On laptop right click on mail account name or 'Local Folders' > 'ImportExportTools' > Import mbox file Select 'Importdirectly one or more mbox files click on ok locate the mbox files on usb and click on Open
