Does Firefox provide any live chat community platform ? (ie Slack,Discord,Matrix,etc..) (excluding VR-based ones and IRC. IRC would have been perfect, but it's not active at all.. tons of people hanging there but no activity at all.)

Hi Outside of our IRC channel, we do not currently provide live chat support. You are still more than welcome to ask any support questions here and we will do our best to help.

This is unfortunate, and surprising to say the least, but thanks for answering the question !

Well the vast majority of companies that have free to use applications do not have one on one support options by any method of chat, phone or email for said free to use application.

The company Mozilla that makes the Firefox web browsers for desktop (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux), and mobile versions for iOS and Android do not have the resources to have the amount of call centres that would be needed to do one on on support since it would be for free.

Applications that has one on one support options are generally for paid for applications that you buy from retail or digital download activation.

Mozilla did try a volunteer live chat system on SUMO some years ago then discontinued. Mozilla also did try third-party paid support experiments by phone/email long ago but it was short lived.
