I have a new desktop windows computer and successful transfer all my thunderbird data to it. I successfully used thunder bird for a while. This week I started receiving an error message that thunderbird was "resetting" the server. Sometimes if I kept clicking on "Get Messages" eventually it would get my messages. Reading thru the articles the problem appeared to be because I was using POP instead of IMAP. So I tried to set up the IMAP using instructions from another article. (File, New, Existing Mail Account). Next I received this error message "Configuration could not be verified - is the user name of password wrong". So I double checked, went into gmail via the web, etc. then tried changing my password. I can log in to my email account just dandy thru the web, but still keep getting the message that something is wrong with the configuration. I'm at a loss.
