Hello Eko (and Roger ?),

Would you try this please :
Go to the Configuration Editor (Tools, Options, Advanced, General, Config Editor).
Type in the search bar force_char
Look for mailnews.force_charset_override Set its value to false

Would you also check this setting:

Right click on "Inbox" Click on "Properties" Uncheck “Apply encoding to all messages in the folder…” Then click on "OK"
