I used to be able to edit history and keep what I wanted. Where is it now?

Where is the capacity to selectively delete history items. If it's been dumped, please bring it back. It might be "me", but I don't think so. Four other long-time users are really annoyed at loss of this capacity as well.

Question #1 - Sure. Select an upper line, press and hold Shift, and select a line lower down. Right-click and select Delete Pages. Or, selectively, hold the Ctrl key and click on the desired items in the list, again, right-click and select Delete Pages.

Question #2 - Click the Library icon on your toolbar, select History, at the bottom click Show All History.

Hi nordvie, You can open your History Library by pressing Ctrl+Shift+H. Right-click on the item that you wish to delete and select Delete Page.

Can I select a number of history lines and delete them all at once? Basically I want to keep only a few lines of dozens daily.

Many thanks to both of you! Is there a "click path" to get to ctrl+shift+H? I've been using FF for about 20 years, and it keeps on getting more and more opaque. I wish there was some interface to do things "the old way." Old dogs and new tricks ...

It should be all the way at the bottom - you might have to scroll down to the end of the list to see it.

Note that the Forget button can be quite dangerous (as a start it closes all open windows and opens a new window), so always use this with care.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll stick now to my earlier decision to only try that feature in an isolated context.
