Getting akamaihd.net search website when I log on with updated Firefox. VERY ANNOYING.

I get this automatic website when I log on in stead of cursor going to search box so I can enter question. How do I delete this?

As you've already suspected, you've picked up some malware that you will of course want to get rid of.

Go to the Firefox menu (≡) => Preferences => Add-ons => Extensions and remove anything that looks unfamiliar or suspicious.
