Red pop up screen shows up randomly. Says Firefox has detected hacking into my finances, gives number to call. Screen freezes, can't get screenshot.
Sounds similar to 2 others that say the problem is solved. What is the solution?

This is a very common scam. You have no issues on your computer (at least, not related to that error message). Please do the following:
- Download Malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.com, run a full scan, remove anything it finds
- Update to Firefox 68 (which is released today)
- If you continue to see that error message, install an adblocker like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
Hi idendoit068, Run a scan with your anti-virus/anti-malware. Be sure to run them with Firefox closed. If that doesn't find anythng here are some other scan tools which may identify and quarantine the culprit: Malwarebytes Malwarebytes AdwCleaner Norton Power Eraser (Direct Download Link) These are all free tools. Run all of them - different tools target different areas on your computer. After you find and eliminate the issue, you might consider adding: Malwarebytes Extension for Firefox to help prevent this in the future.
