everytime i press shift to type a html screen appears on the bottom. how do i get rid of it?

i tried rebooting, i tried control shift i which will close it but i cannot use my shift key now because this thing wwont close and stay closed. i went into the web developer menu and there are no settings to turn this damn thing off. this just randomly occured and if i cant get it to go away i will haave to go back to chrome. help? browsing is supposed to be fun not complicated like this dumb thing.

nothing has worked at all even a reboot. back to stupid chrome it is for me. frustrating to say the least.
