Posted

Firefox is repeatedly crashing on me - and also in safe mode which I've tried following suggestion from Support page. Below is the list of crash reports id's just from today! This has only started in last couple of days but driving me nuts as I work from home and keep losing what I'm working on. All advice welcome!! Val.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows {web link} Uninstall Flash Player | Mac {web link}

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

These crash report are OOM (out-of-memory) reports where not enough contiguous free memory is available.

How much physical memory do you have installed (4 GB) ? Try to increase the size of the Windows page file to the recommended size if this is currently less.

Available Page File : 154,431,488 bytes (154.43 MB)
Available Physical Memory : 493,453,312 bytes (493.45 MB)
System Memory Use Percentage : 88
OOM Allocation Size : 8,192 bytes (8.19 KB)
