</p><p>EDIT 2: As an addendum of strange behavior, after using Safe Mode, my previous profile became unusable. Whenever I try to start with it, I get a dialog "You've launched an older version of Firefox" with options for Create New Profile and Quit. Safe Mode appears to be tripping a profile flag it shouldn't.
