Since Firefox 67, in Add-on manager, your shown what installed extensions would work in private browsing:

Also, this link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/extensions-private-browsing?as=u&utm_source=inproduct

Yet the add-on in question, Lastpass does auto connect on browser close, as it requires cookies.. so i must use "custom setting" with the only option selected "Clear history when firefox closes" as the equivalent to PB.

However i need more info on what it reports in Add-on manager... what is Mozilla saying "This addon "should work" ? or "it will work, but there could be poblem when you restart browser" ?

Hi TECH192, you may be familiar with the expression "necessary but not sufficient." For an extension to have any hope of working in private windows at all, it is necessary that it has permission to run, but there may be other reasons that it fails.

I'm not sure what is the most compatible setting for LastPass. However, the Settings button to the right of "Clear history when firefox closes" does allow you to spare the Cookies and only remove other data, if that's what you need. I'm not sure, as I don't use LastPass myself.

i c... so addon's section is telling you just for 'reference what could work

in this case i must use "custom", otherwise there is no way to exclude certain, in PB.
