Preserve original file date while downloading

Posted

Hi,

Is there a way in Firefox to preserve the original date of downloaded file, like some about:config entry? I tried to look for that info, but I only found old addon that does not work with Firefox quantum anymore.

This has been an issue for a very, very long time ....

See this 17 year old (!) bug report, which was modified 2 months ago :

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178506

Then this 7 year old bug report, also modified 2 months ago and has the status "NEW":

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=733954

If you want to, you could vote to show your interest for that bug report :
