So in IE I have a bar along top where I can see about 10 webpages I use 90% of the time, you can add to that intuitively. In Firefox, how do I do that? So for example if I am on my bank loginpage, I want that to remain permanently displayed somewhere soI can access that quickly. Thank you.

I believe this is what you are looking for. You'll have to manually fill in the websites so it appears in your bookmarks.

Hi Dcowdrey, if you had Firefox import your Windows Favorites into Firefox bookmarks, they would be on the Bookmarks Menu. You'll have to move them over to the Bookmarks Toolbar manually. The tool for that is called the Library, and you can call it up using:

  • "Show All Bookmarks"
  • Ctrl+Shift+b

By default, Firefox shows the "Other Bookmarks" category. To select Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar, click it in the left column.

Firefox has an optional bookmarks menu button you can add to the main toolbar, which may be more similar to your old Favorites menu: . To add that button, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

  • Click the "Library" button:
  • Click "Bookmarks"
  • Click "Bookmarking Tools"
  • Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"
