Firefox starts up with three tabs. How can I eliminate the second and third tabs on start up?
This just started happening recently. It used to open with just the home tab.
You can drag a tab with the sole page you want as the hompage (i.e. your email website or its login page) to only set this page as the homepage. You can accept the confirm dialog.Read this answer in context 1

Did you check the homepage setting in "Options/Preferences -> Home"?
You can check the homepage setting.
- Options/Preferences -> Home -> Homepage
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
What is on the unwanted tabs?
Thank you for your responses.
When I click the Home Page icon I get the same three tabs as when FF starts up: 1. my e-mail web site, which is what I want, 2. the last page which was running there when I last closed FF, 3. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-new-tab-page
I can't see what is in the Home Page icon to tell whether there are any pipes to be deleted. There shouldn't be any. All I want is the Home Page.

Great! I simply reset the Home Page. Should have been obvious. Guess I don't really need to know how it got clobbered by the two additional tabs.
