Browser on my laptop does not recognize my synced Android phone as a connected device

I'm trying to use the "send tab to device" feature of Firefox on my laptop to send a link to my Android phone. I use Firefox on my phone and I'm logged into Firefox on both my laptop and my phone. I've gone into the sync setting on both my phone and my laptop and made sure that everything but my add ons are synced across both devices. I've restarted both my phone and laptop after double checking the settings. Both devices have the most recent Firefox update. However, when I try to send a tab to my phone, I'm still told no devices are connected. Any ideas of where to go from here?
