How do I go back ONE page?

Posted

Sometimes the back arrow works, sometime it doesn't. And when it doesn't I have to do to history to return ONE page. Is there a better way?

I get around this by; When I find a link I want to check out, I open it in a new tab/window. Then when I am done, I close it and am back where I started.

Hi Lrrryo, the next time you see this, could you try: right-click the Back button and see whether you can skip over some pages to exit the site.

There are sites that add extra entries to the Back button history. In some cases, it appears intentional (for example, individual stories in a page of news items) and in other cases there seems to be no reason. If you notice a site that is particularly bad, feel free to name names.

Jscher2000,

Thanks, already do that (just like in Safari), but occasionally it doesn't show the previous page. Can't figure out what it just doesn't work sometimes.

Usually if there's no Back button history, it is because the link opened in a new tab (or window), but if you can't find the original tab (or window), there might be something else going on.
