How can i customize the location of the temporary files in the newest version?

The old trick with the added string doesn't work anymore and leads Firefox to crash.

Note that it is about:config with a colon (about is a protocol) and not about.config with a dot.

Does the folder that you specify exist and do you have write permission to this location?

Note that in about:config you need to use single backslashes to specify the location on Windows.

open 'about.config' right click anywhere on bcakground, select new enter 'browser.cache.disk.parent_directory', click ok enter '<path to temp dir in ramdrive or other drive> [note - directory MUST Pre-exist> click OK RESTART FIREFOX check path in 'about:cache' use preferences to adjust cache size as required

Thanks hellosct1 and cor-el. Solved with your help. It's a RAM Drive so it gets erased on every shutdown and of course then theres no directory. Have a nice weekend!
