The old trick with the added string doesn't work anymore and leads Firefox to crash.

browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

Firefox 65

Chosen solution

Note that it is about:config with a colon (about is a protocol) and not about.config with a dot.

Does the folder that you specify exist and do you have write permission to this location?

Note that in about:config you need to use single backslashes to specify the location on Windows.

Thanks hellosct1 and cor-el. Solved with your help. It's a RAM Drive so it gets erased on every shutdown and of course then theres no directory. Have a nice weekend!
