Chosen solution

Can you remove it using the "Apps & features" control panel? If you search using the Windows system search box on the task bar for uninstall program Windows will give you a link to that control panel. Find the program you want to remove, single-click it, and some buttons should appear.

You also may want to do a more general cleaning: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Thanks for the quick reply jscher2000! Evidently windows figured it out and was able to safely remove the program. it is nowhere to be found. I ran a complete McAfee deep scan yesterday after refreshing Firefox and all seems to be well. I just wanted to make sure that program was off my computer.
