Outlook.com with Firefox ESR 52
Since outlook.com pushed it's beta version as the only choice (last year). There is a problem with Firefox ESR 52 (the last supported 3rd party browser version for Windows XP SP3). Does anyone have a workaround - maybe css style tweak or a grease monkey script to fix this glitchy focus problem:
My Outlook webmail setup is with all these features are off: Conversation view; Read pane; Focussed Inbox, Sender image; Group messages by date; Attachment preview, Message preview text; and Dark mode. Mainly set this way to not waste page space. On Desktop PC, in my setup, I see 3 columns for outlook email (folder list,mail item list, and advert columns). Moving the mouse focus into the center column causes the mail item list to be erased and rebuilt takes about 2 secs, the same thing happens moving mouse up and down the mail item list. This is backward compatibility bug as rebuilding list is not needed - I am just moving up or down focus on subject text. Is there any workaround to stop this insane madness?
Sometimes viewing mail item displays for one second and the content goes away. Close mail item and open it again and it is fine. These two minor bugs just drive you insane :-)
(Please do not say upgrade you OS I already know that I just need outlook to play nice with an older Chrome or Firefox - this system is for running legacy apps.)
I think turning on "Group messages by date" (yuck) reduces problem a little. Glitching of the vertical mail item list column scroll bar (blinking on/off) when mouse focus enters mail item list column still occurs. This feature is a space waster on page IMHO. Is there a better way to live with this problem?

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Using latest stable video driver. I had not considered them as both are no longer supported on XP SP3 and the needed version is quite old circa 2009 (not sure when TB dropped XP support). I will keep them in mind as a last resort.

Updating flash did not help.

Have you tried going back to the normal version?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?
While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
