When I click on a link for Amazon I get a window that tells me that it is from MicroSoft and my computer has a virus that if I don't click on their link my computer will be destroyed, or words to that effect. I use Task Manager to exit the browser. This just started: It happens when I try to access Amazon. No other web site is affected with this, and only Fire Fox. IE and Edge are not affected with this virus/malware or what ever it is.

Attached is a screenshot of the web page in question.
Please advise.

This is a common Microsoft support scam. The chances are, you don't have a virus on your PC.

I would recommend just ignoring these kinds of scams and at minimum, keep up to date with security releases and patches from Microsoft. It's also a good idea if you haven't already, install an antivirus software that also blocks malicious sites such as bitdefender or norton.

If you want to go one step further, you can report the website to Microsoft here.

Hope this helps.

Just in case you were infected, Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
