Would you please take a look at this thread :

Just about everything that could possibly appear under the address bar is covered in this thread, including the following (in case you don't want anything to show up under the address bar :

Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar browser.urlbar.

Lookd for the preference :

browser.urlbar.maxRichResults

And set its value to 0 (= zero)Then close and restart Firefox.

'Hope that does what you want …..
