Just recently since the last few updates Firefox freezes quite often. In the past it might freeze once in awhile but now it freezes much more often. I read someone's response for another question which gave direction on copying and pasting the crash reports that I had submitted but I did not understand what to do with the most recent 5 after I copied them. The direction said something about pasting them in the forum???

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

I guess my problem is not a CRASH but rather a HANG. As I read about such things I now see the difference.

Basically, a 'hang' is when a program freezes, but comes back. (One thing to try is to close any other programs.)

A crash is when the program gets closed by the system.

When the browser is acting up, what were you doing at the time? Browsing the web, doing nothing, reading/watching something . . . . .

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
