Firefox gets really slow when asking what to do with (open or save) a file (downloading)?

When Firefox asks What should Firefox do with this file? it gets really slow to save, selecting opening or saving file options.

Are you talking about how fast Firefox is responding, or are you complaining about a slow download speed?

How fast Firefox responds. It seems like the window crashes, because It takes a long time to let you choose If you want to save or open the file, but It doesn't show any signs of crashing.

Also, I downloaded the developer edition and I didn't have this problem there.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I think i have found a solution there.

Anyway, thanks for your help!

Give it a few days. If the problem is gone, then post what you did and mark that as Solved Problem.
