I updated firefox and tab mix plus isn’t working anymore. How can I change tab opening behavior? I’d like to open tabs directly when I click on a bookmark etc.. Is it possible?

It seems you need to set the value browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu to false

Too bad but that’s not solving the issue. I want to open a new tab by clicking on a bookmark from the bookmark toolbar.

Hi, type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down the alphabetical list to browser.tabs.LoadBookmarksInTabs and double click the entry to change 'Value' from False toTrue.

There are more options in Tab Mix - Links which works in Quantum https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus-webextension/ You will need to set its options in the Add-ons manager (Ctrl+Shift+A).

You could also look at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-link-with-new-tab/
