I've been visiting a site yesterday. All of a sudden I can't, no one else has this issue.

I've been visiting "9gag" since it came out as a site. From yesterday I can't get to it from my Firefox browser. I thought it was an issue with the site, but the App was fine. So I asked a bunch of friends if they have this issue, none of them had the same problem. What happens is that when I want to go into the site, it starts loading, but the page that I'm on or if I search it out from Google just blinks once and stays the same. The page never changes and nothing happens (no error, no loading icon, no other messages). Even from a private window it doesn't load up.

In safe mode it is all fine and when I exit that the problem still comes back.

Hello k_hinkov,

Your system details show that you have three extensions installed - would you please disable them and then re-enable them one by one, till you find the culprit  ?

My bet is on "Block Site 0.1.8" .......

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player or remove it using these links; Uninstall Flash Player | Windows {web link} Uninstall Flash Player | Mac {web link}

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Load the web page. Then, to reload the page bypassing the cache and force a fresh retrieval; Ctrl+Shift+R (Mac=Command+Shift+R)

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Unfortunately this didn't solve my problem. I can't get the website in the bar to search for it. When I type it in and try to connect to it there is just a flick of the current page I'm on (can be the start page as well) and the site disappears from the search bar without connecting or doing anything concerning the site. I did both things from the previous replies.

Thank you all it seems that the problem is on me. I have an add-on that blocks sites on my demand and apparently this particular one has gone into the black list without my notice. Thanks for the help I need to check my things better next time. Good luck.

Would that be the extension I mentioned : "Block Site 0.1.8"  ?

Yes, the particular site was in the black list and the add-on was blocking it. But hey at least I know that the add-on works :D.
