Is it possible to help people like me over 70 years old not tech savvy?

Posted

My problem is that every time I start my desktop, which I do once in about 10 days, I find myself in trouble. Signing in is a nightmare especially for my net banking stuff. I forget my password and it is difficult to keep thinking up new passwords with all the requirements keep changing. I understand that all you good people are trying to help me but it has become very difficult. Is it possible for me to automate all my login things with a pre-set password? I think I am out of tune with the generation of today - this may be the under statement of the year! I am sure there are plenty of old timers like me who face the same problem daily. Anybody who can fix or find us a solution will get millions of Blessings from old folks. Thank you.

Hello psydoc44,

Have you heard of the Firefox Password Manager  ?

If not, would you please read this article :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-change-and-import

This might make things a lot easier for you .....

Personal note : I know it's a cliché, but age is nothing but a number - there are so many much younger people who aren't 'tech savvy'  !

Note that you should never use the same password on more than one website. When this one password would get compromised by an attack or malware/phishing then you can get in a lot of trouble especially in case of banking or financial dealing websites.
