Firefox crush very often related to e10s(multi-process). The only solution is to disable multi-process in "about:config".

Affected platform(at least): Windows, Linux, MAC OS Affected version: from the first e10s-enabled version(I forgot) until the latest, including ESR.

To have a simple test: 1. Install Firefox; 2. Tweak some settings or not, just don't disable e10s yet; 3. To trigger a crush quickly, open a lot of PDF pages and switch between them, (however this is not the only way to trigger crushes); 4. Disable e10s in about:config; 5. Try step 3 again, now it's much harder to get a crush.
