build an address book from scratch using imported emails

Posted

I have used the ImportExportTools Add-on to import emails (exported from Windows Live Mail 2011). and want to now build an address book from these emails.

Note: Do this for another person. The exports were from a crashed Win 10 PC & there was no export of the contacts or a backup of these (sigh).

Chosen solution

The Email Address Crawler add-on (by the same author of IETools) scans a folder (right-click to crawl) for addresses and stores them in an address book (see picture). To install in TB 60, you may have to first open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the preference extensions.strictCompatibility to false, OK to close Options.
