I have been exclusively using Firefox forever and happy with it until a friend said "Hey, try this" and tacked duckduckgo on top of it - and I'm sure it does a great job - but I have since then noticed some browsing oddities relative to Firefox pre-duckduckgo and I want to remove it that I may compare before and after performances.
  But I can't find it anywhere and as I am allergic to, and highly suspicious of, anything I can't track down and remove from my system if I so desire, I REALLY want it gone, at least until I find out more about its characteristics.

To which I clicked on ''NO'' to ''was this answer useful'' and tried to follow up with this: Thank you, but this... The Browser has no choice on which site you use as homepage. ...means nothing to me and is of zero help. I used to browse with Firefox and now I am stuck with ''search with duckduckgo...'' instead, and I want it gone. But this just went straight into ''Answers.'' So let me reiterate: How do I get rid of duckduckgo? Thank you.
