How to determine if a contact is new or already known to me

Posted

When I reply to an email someone sends me, how can I tell if they are someone new, or are already in my address book without me having to search through it each time? Thanks.

Chosen solution

Look to the right of their email address in the message header. There is a star icon there. If the star is filled with color they are in one of your address books. If the star is empty they are not. Clicking an empty star adds them to your Personal address book. Clicking a filled star opens an edit dialog for that contact.
