I have changed servers and would like to change my e-mail address on sync so my old e-mail sync could be transfered to my new e-mail sync.

more options

I have lots of saved bookmarks and passwords in my old sync address and it won't let me upload them to my new address because it wants me to use old e-mail address to berify ownership and my old address was discontinued when I changed servers. It wouldn't let me just transfer e-mail sync. I had a crash and reloaded windows 7 and downloaded firefox but it wouldn't let me sync because I couldn't confirm my old e-mail address with old server, as that address was discontinued.

Chosen solution

If you still know your old email address and know the password for your Firefox Account, you can just login and sync with that. Then from the Firefox Account settings page, you can add a secondary email address, verify it and then promote that email address to the primary address on your account.

If you don't know the password on the Firefox Account, you are out of luck. You need access to your Firefox Account in order to add a new email address and requesting a new password automatically wipes your sync data from the Firefox servers.

Your best bet is to create a brand new Firefox Account and rebuild your sync data from your current Firefox browser. If you choose to do that, don't forget to request a new password for your old Firefox Account. You don't have access to the old email address, so you won't get a new password, but it will remove your old data for security purposes.
