minimize maximize keyboard?
Hello,
I just switched to Firefox and so far I've been the setting up process has been going smoothly. I've almost got the browser exactly how I want it to.
I am missing one last feature that I would really like to have; the ability to minimize and maximize Firefox with the use of my keyboard instead of having to rely on my mouse so I can switch between screens more fluently.
I don't know of there's an option available in Firefox itself or if there's already a combination of keys that do just that or if there's an Addon I can use. Any advice is therefor more than welcome.

I already saw that, but there are no (known) commands on that page for minimizing and maximizing Firefox.
- Zoom In Ctrl + +
- Zoom Out Ctrl + -
- Zoom Reset Ctrl + 0
FullScreen F11

I think you need to READ my post a bit more carefully. I'm not talking about zooming in or out.
I'm talking about minimizing the browser and maximizing it again.

Interesting addon, but it doesnt allow minimizing/maximizing as options.
Hello impy101,
Minimize : Windows key + M
Maximize : Windows key + Shift + M
Probably a rhetorical question, but you do know that you can also just click the "-" (minus sign) at the upper right, don't you ?

I am well aware of that, thank you. But I am used to switching between windows via keyboard shortcuts. I've been doing so for years now using Maxthon (CTRL + ` hides the browser so I can immediately switch between screens).
And thank you for those Windows shortcuts, I already know them. All I am looking for, as stated in the first post, is for a way to minimize and maximize Firefox (AND ONLY FIREFOX!) using keyboard shortcuts.

Apparantly I'm totally misconstruing your question, cause as far as I know the above mentioned keyboard shortcuts will do just that.
There's one other keyboard shortcut : Alt key + spacebar, but that will bring down a context menu where you can click "Minimize" or "Maximize", and that's not what you want either.
All I can do now is hope that somebody else will give you the answer that you're looking for .....

The above shortcut minimizes everything. All open windows, not just Firefox.

I don't know what you mean by "just Firefox" - (sorry .... )
If it's the last tab you want to close : Ctrl + W
In case you want to resize the window : Windows key + right or left arrow key.
