I upgraded to the new firefox 64 build version 62 from my old 32 bit version. Installation seemed to go well. However, when right clicking on a html file, I used to see edit with Dreamweaver - immediately after installation that was changed to Notepad++. I know it was firefox upgrade that changed it as I use this "edit with" constantly, every single day. The only thing I did today was the upgrade. Why was it changed and how do I change it back.

Hi switching versions is not just upgrade. I would think you installed Dreamweaver after Firefox for it to end up in the context menu it could also be Win 7 since Edit is Win 7 +

If you can not click on Notepad++ and change it or click on Dreamweaver if it is in the list.

You will have to use userChrome as per this : https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/7dvtw0/guide_how_to_edit_your_context_menu/

Obviously you didn't read my comment. The only thing I did today was the upgrade to firefox as it was a day off for me. I made no other installations or modifications other than that upgrade. Here is what I know, I used it just before I upgraded and it was "edit in Dreamweaver", Right after it was edit in Notepad++.

There is no question in my mind it was Firefox. Been doing this for a very very long time, I am in web programming. I know it doesn't make sense that would be the case as that right click is a windows function. But as we all know new software CAN change file associations.

Thank you very much for your reply and I shall take a close look at that link you provided.

Here's the problem going from 32 to 64 is not just a upgrade and software programmers should know that already. What your suppose to do is uninstall all previous FF 32 and Deleting the Mozilla folder before going to FF 64 to stop any problems from happening. The change happens if you have a 64 bit O/S that will be a FF 64 version install and if you have a 32 bit O/S it will install the FF 32 version. It's very plain and simple to see that.
